Binibining San Luis 2008 Coronation Night
Eight gorgeous and dashing beauties competed for the title of Bb. San Luis ‘08 last August 23, 2008. Participating youngsters were from Barangay Diteki, Josephlyn Radana; Ditumabo, Michelle Peneyra Fabia;Dikapinisan, Jinabelle Baylen; Dimanayat, Dorina Soriano; L. Pimentel, Racelyn Reguyal; Zarah, Reinalyn Dela Cruz; San Isidro, Kristine Joy Bajas and Bacong, Manilyn Marigmen.
They attracted mammoth crowd during the pageant and they were like beauty queens or starstruck stars with their posing, smile, ramp modelling, and projection as witnessed by many people headed by San Luis Mayor Annabelle C. Tangson and Vice Mayor Teddy Macatiag together with the distinguished guests Mayor Josie A. Cuento and Vice Mayor Mario Palicpic Jr. of Santa Maria, Laguna and Mayor Florcelie L. Esguerra and Vice Mayor Wilmer V. Blastique of Cavinti, Laguna.
“It was a fast paced and superb presentation”, as stated by the judges and the audience and no other local event can beat the triumph of this much awaited event.
Hosting job was peanuts for Mr. Ruel Quiap and Ms. Maricris Gomez who are both teachers. They made a lovely pair of hosts.
Judges were Lt. Jerson Igloria, Commanding Officer of the 48th IB, Atty. Phanie Rose Aragon of the RTC, Manager Marilou Saturno of Land Bank-Baler, Manager Merlyn Alcantara of DBP, Manager Marietta Ablaza of NFA, Ms. Joanna Allas, a fashion designer, Mr. John Mercado, owner of a beauty salon and Dr. Gereno Antonio, DepED Schools Division Superintendent.
Jam-packed people had all ayes on the first number with self-introduction of the candidates. It was good enough to watch this portion of the entrance of eight beauties with their production number, dancing and modeling.
The best presentation was the swimsuit competition that drew a huge crowd. Beauties wore black and white striped swimsuits. Contestant No. 6, won special awards of Ms. Photogenic as judged by Mr. Fidel Dadero, official photographer. Contestant No. 3 won special awards Ms. Avon, Ms. Sara Lee, Ms. Dakki, and Ms. Norkis Yamaha while contestant No. 4 got the award of Best in Swimsuit. The crowd were cheering these two girls and they all concluded that one of them will emerge as the winner.
The sabutan long gown competition were also presented well with romantic music as background. Contestant No. 6 got the Best in Sabutan Long Gown award. She was wearing a flesh-colored Maria Clara style gown with beads and decorations.
The announcement of the winners made everyone so nervous and rattled. Contestant #6, Ms. Reinalyn Dela Cruz, 18 years old from Brgy. Zarah, won as Bb. San Luis . Ms. Rdelyn de Leon, Binibining San Luis 2007 and the reigning Bb. Aurora passed the crown to Ms. Dela Cruz. Contestant No. 3, Ms. Racelyn Reguyal, 19 years old from Brgy. L. Pimentel was announced as 1st Runner-up. Contestant No. 4, Dorina Soriano, 17 years old from Dikapinisan emerged as 2nd Runner-up.
The program owes its success to the Pestejos Committee especially the Bb. San Luis Committee headed by Mr. Jerry Olivar and Ramil Chan.

Sa Nonong ang daming magaganda tulad na lamang nina Sheryl Escobar, Rachel Villareal, Marites, Bido, Aira Bernabe, at madami p cla kya humanda na kayo kung sino man ang mapili sa kanila anuh?
Sana may Rock Band sa susunod…oopz!! not local huh?
