San Luis Now a 2nd Class Municipality

The Municipality of San Luis is now a 2ND class municipality based on the Memorandum Circular No. 01-M(8-B)-08 issued by Bureau of Local Government Finance last December 17, 2008. Stated on the said memorandum, the Municipality is upgraded from 3rd to 2nd Class effective July 29, 2008 on the basis of its Average Annual Income for CYs 2004-2007 as computed from the certified annual income for the said period.

The said Memorandum Circular is issued in compliance with Department Order No. 23-08 directing the Bureau of Local Government Finance to undertake the reclassification of all municipalities, in accordance with the income ranges prescribed on the basis of respective Financial Statements duly certified to by the Commission on Audit.
