New Ambulance Donated to San Luis

A two six-wheeler Volvo ambulances were donated by the Lion’s Club of Vallentuna, Sweden thru the initiative of Mayor Annabelle C. Tangson and her friends Mr. and Mrs. Chryster and Eva Lundholm. The ambulances were shipped from Sweden and arrived in Manila last November 9, 2008. Equipment sent with the ambulances are stretchers (15), breathing devices (4), emergency tests (2), electric power generators (2), heart starters (2), nursing supplies, medical computers, tool boxes with tools and spare parts.

The said assistance would be very useful to every people of San Luis such as in medical missions, bringing patients to Cabanatuan or Metro Manila, rescue missions and other activities being implemented in the municipality.

Hi, I’m a car enthusiast and very much curious how do the donated ambulances look like?
Were they surplus Swedish Army Ambulances? Any chance you can post a photo or two of them?
Thanks in advance.
