Habitat Global Volunteers Build Houses in San Luis

Two batches of Habitat Global Volunteers visited San Luis and build houses for the Habitat for Humanity Housing Project at Sitio Hiwalayan, Bacong, San Luis. They are from Taejon Christian International School Global Village Team, South Korea led by their Team Coordinator Johnny Wong and Suac (Ph09016) Village Team, Nagoya, Japan with Ms. Karen Teles as their Team Leader.

Mayor Annabelle C. Tangson, Vice Mayor Teddy A. Macatiag and Board Member Mariano C. Tangson led the welcoming party together with the Local Management Council of the Habitat for Humanity and municipal employees when the volunteers arrived together with the Habitat Program Administrator Pastora Adriana Saturno.

Habitat Global Volunteers Build Houses in San Luis

Other than building houses at Habitat, both delegations had a chance to visit some of the tourist spots in the province such as Balete Park, Ditumabo Falls, and Baler Bay during their stay here. They also visited Aurora State College of Technology, San Luis National High School and San Luis Central School.

Before they leave, both groups of volunteers donated additional houses for the Habitat for the Humanity as a sign of their gratitude for the warm hospitality of the people of San Luis.
