SEA-K Fund Distribution (3rd Quarter 2009)

DSWD Region 3 headed by Ms. Mely S. Pangilinan, Operations Division Chief and Ms. Lilia N. Ediza,
Project Development Officer III released the checks of 4 SEA-K Associations last September 5, 2009 at Brgy. Real totaling to PhP500,000.00 for 100 beneficiaries. The Municipality of San Luis gave a counterpart of PhP 45,000.00 for the nine (9) additional members of Real SEA-K.

The cash released for the said livelihood projects were given by Mayor Annabelle C. Tangson together with Vice Mayor Teddy A. Macatiag last September 23, 2009. The total SEAK’s which were given livelihood assistance is 16, involving PhP 2,230,000.00 for 327 beneficiaries.

The said SEA-Ks were organized by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Mrs. Hiyasmin S. Mendoza. Series of meetings and different activities through group dynamics were conducted such as Self Enhancement, Values Formation, Leadership Training and Team Building as part of the social preparation activities. The associations are also active in community participation through cleanliness and beautification and other programs and services of the municipality in the barangays.
