San Luis LGU Celebrated Family Day

The Local Government of San Luis celebrated its Family Day at the scenic Barangay of Dibut, San Luis, Aurora last September 29 – 30, 2009 as part of the Civil Service month. The municipal employees led by Mayor Annabelle C. Tangson traveled to Dibut by bancas for two hours and was welcomed by their Barangay officials headed by their Barangay Captain Rene S. Querijero.

Unlike past Family Day celebrations, this year Dibut was chosen as venue so that municipal employees could share their blessings to less fortunate people of the Barangay.

All 12 departments gave presentation during the program. The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office was judged as the 1st Placer winner while Municipal Health Office and Office of the Municipal Mayor were 2nd and 3rd Placer respectively. There was also parlor games participated by municipal employees as well as people from the Barangay.

Afterwards, municipal employees and people of Barangay Dibut shared sumptuous merienda, danced and sing together all night.

In the morning, Mayor Abel also distributed rice and grocery to 180 families of Barangay Dibut.
The Family Day Celebration was organized by SLAMEA headed by their President Rosler A. Abordo and MANCOM headed by their Chairman Eduardo L. Yambot. Truly the Family Day Celebration in Barangay Dibut is fun and worthwhile experience for the LGU family and community of Barangay Dibut.
