Click here or the image to view the pictures of this year’s Street Decors. The Street Decor Competition, a part of the Sabutan Festival,  is a yearly event showcasing the creativity of the people of San Luis. The decors will be on display until August 25.

Bilang pagtugon sa panawagan ng Kagawaran ng Turismo, ang Bayan ng San Luis, sa pamumuno ni Kgg. Annabelle C. Tangson at sa pamamagitan ng Tanggapan ng Pambayang Turismo na kinabibilangan nina Bb. Marissa V. Quiambao (Tourism Coordinator), Bb. Rosalia Mauro (Staff) at G. Joel Uy (Staff), ay nakiisa at nagtalaga ng “Tourist Assistance Desk” noong ika – 20 – 23 ng Abril, 2011. Ito ay isinakatuparan sa pakikipagtulungan ng Philippine National Police sa pangunguna ni PCI Reynante Pitpitan, Chief of Police, San Luis, Aurora; 48IB Charlie (COUGAR) Company ng Philippine Army; Bureau of Fire Protection, San Luis, Aurora at sa pagsuporta at pag-alalay ng magigiting na miyembro ng KABALIKAT CIVICOM, 200 Chapter, San Luis, Aurora na naglunsad din ng mga programang Motorist Assistance Desk(PNP, PA), Oplan Sumvac(BFP) at Lakbay-Alalay(Kabalikat). Ang naturang mga programa ay naglalayong maalalayan ang mga turista, motorista at publiko sa kanilang paglalakbay habang nasa bakasyon o nakiki-isa sa paggunita ng mga mahal na araw.

Mayor Cesario A. Pimentel National High School (formerly San Luis National High School) and Diteki Elementary School became both the grand champion in the Street Dancing Competition.

The Street Dancing Competition is the highlight of the Sabutan Festival in celebration of the 51st Founding Anniversary and Patronal Town Fiesta of San Luis, Aurora. San Luis National High School street dancers won P15, 000.00 cash prize for becoming the champion in the Street Dancing Competition secondary level.

In the elementary level, Diteki Elementary School emerged as champion among five competing schools and also went home with P15, 000.00 cash prize.

Following San Luis National High School were Ditumabo National High School and Dikapinisan National High School, as second and third placers, respectively. Tailing behind Diteki ES were Ditumabo Elementary School and San Isidro Elem. School as second and third placers, respectively. The second placers won P10, 000.00 in cash prize while the third placers won P5, 000.00.

The panel of judges includes Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Gereno R. Antonio, Mrs. Juvy Marie M. Mostoles and Dr. Oscar T. Vallejo. For this year, Mr. Joel L. Uy was the Chairman for the Street Dancing Competition.

People of San Luis and passersby get to feel the festive mood of the 51st Town Fiesta Celebration with sabutan décor hanging along the Avenida Road as early as last week.

Street décor competition is a part of the Sabutan Festival where sabutan products are used to adorn the streets. For this year, street décor was participated by 10 clusters of the different departments of LGU-San Luis and National Offices. The arches made of bamboo were decorated with different colors and type of sabutan products.

Walking along the Avenida Road appreciating each street décor would surely give you a glimpse of artistry of the people of San Luis.
