NIA Watershed Picnic Grounds has witnessed many family milestones and celebrations, it being popular destinations for picnics, reunions and parties. Originaly intended to provide water to nearby farms and communities, it now irrigates farmlands in the entire Central Aurora region while its cool waters and attractive natural settings continues to lure in tourists and residents. Rustic cottages for public use line its banks and floating devices may be rented from the adjacent NIA office, which also manges the facility. The place gets packed during summer and it id quite  interesting to observe hoe the local community nurtures social relationships and family solidarity at this time of year.
